Every day at 17.00 the bell, which is a symbol of good neighbourliness in the Alps, can be heard far into the upper Inntal valley.
The Peace Bell is located in one of the most impressive spots in Tirol, in the village of Mösern, the “swallows’ nest of Tirol”. The Peace Bell is an important symbol in today’s Europe with its varied cultures, languages and living conditions. It is the largest bell in Tirol. It is 2.51 metres high and has a diameter of 2.54 metres. The crossbeam has to hold over 10 tons of cast bronze and support extreme vibrations. The tongue alone weighs over half a ton.
The Peace Walk offers a build-up to this unusual experience. Its seven stations offer ideas for self-contemplation and reflection. Start of the Peace Walk is at the parking lot of the Seewald Alm.
